Knowlton Village

Named after the illustrious entrepreneur Paul Holland Knowlton, the village of Knowlton is renowned for its prestigious heritage. Indisputable proof that the village has enjoyed a unique tourist status for over a century can be found in the Canadian Handbook Tourist Guide published in 1867, the year of Canada’s confederation. The Handbook vaunts the charms of the village and encourages all and sundry to come and admire its beauty.  In May 1997, “L’actualité” magazine paid its own homage to Knowlton, naming it one of the 20 most beautiful Quebec villages.
