The 2012 Tourism Development Plan

The objective of the strategic planning initiative is to analyze the situation and then propose orientations and means by which to increase tourist traffic for the Brome Lake destination.

From a tourism perspective, Town of Brome Lake represents a destination for visitors, whether for a passing visit or for a short or long-term stay. One of the guiding principals on which this process is based is that protection of the municipality’s
villages, architectural heritage and natural heritage is a priority.

But tourism is an activity closely linked to discovery of the environment, the heritage and the diversity of the regions visited, and thus to their preservation and improvement. So protecting all of the elements that relate to the region’s history, as well as the lakes, shorelines, marshes and fragile ecological zones, is a concern that guides our actions.
