The job of the Urban Planning Department is to plan and manage the way that land is developed, and to make sure that this development meets all the requirements of

• the broader development strategy for the MRC of Brome-Missisquoi;
• the Town’s own urban plan;
• specific zoning and other planning bylaws;
• provincial laws.

The Urban Planning department also issues permits for building and renovation, as well as certificates of authorization.
