PIIA
The Town uses the Site Development and Architectural Integration Plan or PIIA to make sure that new buildings or renovations are in keeping with their surroundings There are special requirements for construction in certain areas, for example, commercial or historic areas.
The Town’s Urban Planning Committee assesses projects and recommends to the council whether or not the project should be approved. It is the Council’s job to review the recommendation and then make a decision by resolution.
If you are applying for a building permit under the PIIA, please allow at least a month for your application to be considered.
