About Us
Lac-Brome Recreation and Community Services is a municipal recreation department, with a twist! Incorporated in 1991, this non-profit organisation has been active for 15 years in the seven villages and hamlets which form the Town of Brome Lake.
At Recreation and Community Services:
-
we look after the Town’s recreational infrastructure, including parks, community centres, skating rinks, paths and beaches;
-
we offer classes and activities for citizens of all ages; and
-
we give practical support to families, seniors and others in the community.
Today, the majority our financing comes from the Town itself to support programs for residents. We also get project-specific funding from other sources so that we can offer an even wider range of programs for both residents and non-residents.
Our work is always a team effort: permanent, contractual and seasonal staff, supported by many volunteers who put their time and talents to the service of the community.
