Québec en forme Animator (ages 0-12)
Town of Brome Lake
The communities of the Brome Lake area, with the support of the MRC of Brome Missisquoi and Québec en forme, are looking for:
- an Animator to develop and implement programs which promote healthy eating and physical activity for children under 12 and their families
Main Responsibilities
Under the supervision of Lac-Brome Recreation and Community Services, the person’s responsibilities will include:
- Developing, planning and leading physical activities or sports for children under 12
- Collaborating with colleagues and partner organizations
- Building a relationship of trust with the children/teens, families and local service providers
- Promoting the vision of Québec en forme and making it relevant to young people and their families
- Participating in training sessions and follow-up meetings
Qualifications Needed
- College diploma or university degree in Education, Physical Education or Kinesiology or other related field (recreation, nutrition, health promotion) OR relevant experience
- Experience working with children or teenagers an asset
- Good verbal and written skills in French and in English
- Knowledge of the community an asset

Other information
Type of position: Part-time, regular employment, some evenings and weekends
Schedule: 11 hours/week
