Here are answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about reserving a park in Town of Brome Lake:


Can I reserve a park for a tournament, festival or other community activity?

Yes.  You need to contact Recreation and Community Services and fill out a request.


Can I reserve a park for a private event, like a wedding?

No.  You are welcome to use the park for your event, but please be aware that other people may be using the park at the same time.  You cannot reserve the park for your exclusive private use.


How much does it cost?

There is no fee for reserving a park in Town of Brome Lake.  For some events, you may be asked for a security deposit against any damage to Town property.


How far in advance do I need to reserve?

Parks are reserved on a first come, first served basis.  We do not accept reservations more than six months in advance.


Can I serve alcohol?

If you plan to have alcohol at your event, you must let us know when you make your booking.
 

You always need a permit from the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux to serve and/or sell alcohol at an event.  This is called a "reunion permit".  You must apply for your permit at least 15 working days ahead of your event.  Click here to go to the Régie's website and learn more about applying for your permit. 


What other information do I need to provide?

The amount of information we need depends on the size and nature of the event you are planning.
 

For instance, we will need to know if you plan to have any of the following at your event:

 

 

We may also ask you for a map showing where you plan to set up tents, stands, toilets, parking, etc.  
 

You will need special permission if you would like any roads closed for a race or parade, so please contact us well ahead of your event.

Your reservation will be confirmed once we have received your request and any additional permits.
 

In some cases, your request may have to be approved at the Council’s monthly meeting.  We can let you know if this is the case when you come in to fill out your request.
