Here are answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about renting a room at the Centre:

Yes.  We have several rooms of different sizes available, depending on your needs (how many people are coming, what kind of equipment you need).

 

No.  Our first priority is to provide space for community activities.  Currently, we are not able to accommodate private events such as weddings, office parties or other events.

 

It depends on the room you are renting, and on the type of activity taking place.  Room rental ranges from $10 to $20 an hour.

 

We may also ask you for a security deposit when you book your room.  This will be returned to you in full after the event, providing all the conditions of your contract have been met and no damage has been caused to the building or equipment.

 

You are welcome to bring food to the Centre for activities.

 

If you need to prepare or cook food, please note that the use of the kitchen is not included in your hourly room rental fee, and must be booked seperately.

 

There is a cold drink vending machine in the Centre.

 

If you plan to have alcohol at your event, you must let us know when you make your booking.  This applies whether or not you are selling the alcohol.
 

You always need a permit from the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux to serve and/or sell alcohol at the Centre.  You must apply for your permit at least 15 working days ahead of your event.
