Day Centre

The Brome Lake Seniors’ Day Centre is the first community-based day centre in Quebec. All activities and services are provided in English and in French.

What is a Day Centre?

The Day Centre offers stimulating activities and health services for people aged 65 and over.

The goal of the Day Centre is to help seniors maintain or improve their abilities, so they can enjoy greater independence and quality of life.

Who is it for?

The Day Centre is for people aged 65 and up. The Centre helps people who are at risk of losing their independence and who

enjoy being in a group
still live at home, with family or in a private residence in Town of Brome Lake
would benefit from special support

What can I expect?

a full meal and snacks
transportation to and from the Centre
social activities and games
group exercice programs
advice on nutrition and staying healthy
nursing services
individual health monitoring

Who will be there?

a nurse
a physical rehabilitation therapist
a recreation therapist
at least two volunteers
about 12 other participants who are also from Town of Brome Lake

What does it cost?
It costs $4 per day for transportation to and from the Day Centre, and $4 per day for a hot meal.
