MOUV Launches in Brome-Missisquoi: A New Digital Platform to Facilitate Access to Public and Adapted Transportation

(Press release from the Brome-Missisquoi MRC)

Cowansville, September 22, 2026 – The Brome-Missisquoi MRC is taking another step toward modernizing its transportation services with the upcoming launch of MOUV, a new digital platform that will allow users to access service information, plan certain trips and, eventually, make reservations online.

Accessible through a web platform and a mobile application that will be available shortly, MOUV will gradually bring together the mobility services offered throughout the territory. Residents will be able to consult the available information, plan certain trips, make reservations and access the features available for each service.

The rollout in Brome-Missisquoi is part of a regional initiative involving 8 MRCs in the Estrie region. The Brome-Missisquoi MRC is part of the first phase of the platform’s implementation.

A transition adapted to residents’ needs

The launch of MOUV is intended to provide a simpler and more accessible experience for people who use public transit and paratransit services. The platform will also facilitate trip coordination and operational monitoring by the teams responsible for transportation.

Using the application will not be mandatory. People who prefer to communicate directly with the Transportation and Mobility Department team will be able to continue doing so through the usual channels. Support will also be provided to assist users in creating their account and using the platform.

“With MOUV, we are taking another step toward making our transportation services simpler and more accessible. We want technology to make it easier for people to get around, without ever replacing the personal assistance that some users need. The platform’s gradual rollout will allow us to properly support residents and ensure that the transition takes place under the best possible conditions,” said Sylvie Beauregard, Warden of the Brome-Missisquoi MRC.

A two-step rollout

MOUV will be rolled out gradually to give users and staff time to familiarize themselves with the new platform.

  • As of September 22, 2026, the MOUV web platform will be available, allowing users to create their profile and add funds to their account to purchase transit fares or a monthly pass. The mobile application should also be available for download shortly.
  • As of October 5, 2026, the official launch will provide access to such features as in-app reservations.

Information about the services available, reservation procedures and support options will be provided to residents before the launch.

A shared identity for mobility in Estrie

The name MOUV evokes movement and the momentum associated with travel. This shared identity will make the platform easy to recognize in the eight participating territories, while allowing each MRC to adapt it to its own services and local realities.

The Brome-Missisquoi MRC remains responsible for organizing and operating its transportation services within its territory. The new application is an additional tool to support their accessibility, coordination and development.

The procedures specific to each service, including the areas served, schedules, eligibility criteria and fares, will continue to apply. Any changes will be communicated directly to the users concerned.

A project carried out with the support of regional and government partners

The implementation of MOUV in the participating territories is the result of a collaborative initiative involving the Brome-Missisquoi, Coaticook, Le Granit, Haut-Saint-François, Haute-Yamaska, Memphrémagog, Les Sources and Val-Saint-François MRCs.

Pooling the platform promotes the sharing of expertise and resources among the participating territories. Each MRC nevertheless remains responsible for its local implementation, services and rollout schedule.

The project benefits from the support of the 2024–2028 Sectoral Agreement for the Development of Public and Active Transportation, which involves, among others, the Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable, the Ministère des Affaires municipales et de l’Habitation, the Estrie MRCs and the Table of Estrie MRCs.
