Brome Lake September 29, 2025 –The election period began on Friday, September 19, in Brome Lake. It will be used to fill six seats of councillors of the municipality as well as the seat of mayor.
The period for submitting nomination papers began on September 19 and runs until October 3 at 4:30 p.m., according to the schedule indicated on the public notice of election. Unless seats are filled unopposed at the end of this period, electors will vote for the councillor seat of their ward as well as for the seat of mayor and for the seat of warden of the RCM.
Vote
If there is more than one person wishing to be a candidate to either one of these seats, there will be two voting days.
Other voting options available upon request
People who are unable to move about for health reasons can ask for a voting team to come to them.
Electors who own a building (cottage, apartment building, etc.) or occupy a business establishment in the municipality may also vote by mail.
In both cases, eligible electors must apply to the returning officer no later than October 21.
Working for the election
The Town is looking for staff to work at advance polls and on polling day. There are no specific selection criteria for election officers; all that’s required is to be of working age.

Data on the last general municipal election
In the municipal general elections held on November 7, 2021, only two districts held elections, and the position of mayor was filled without opposition.
Across Quebec, voter turnout was 38.7%.
